here's what white house press secretary jay carney had to say. >> we have acknowledged that health care.gov has not performed adequately. and the president is not happy about that. secretary sebelius is not happy about that. and that is why we have dedicated these focus resources to fixing the existing problems. >> reporter: the administration is now having to answer questions about new reports surfacing that millions of americans will get letters of cancellation on their existing individual health care plans because they won't allegedly meet the requirements of the health care overhaul. the administration is saying that -- the reports are saying the administration knew that this would happen. the president meantime stands by health and human services secretary kathleen sebelius. he is heading to boston to talk about the implementation of the affordable care act. secretary sebelius is getting ready to answer questions from lawmakers here on capitol hill tomorrow but first the medicare chief who is thought to be responsible for healthcare.gov and its launch will be answering questions today.
